“Marie Spaemann, who enchantingly combines soul and jazz with a touch of classical music” (Dagmar Golle, Bavarian Radio) is a cellist, singer-songwriter and holistic breath coach based in Vienna, Austria.

As a classical solo cellist she has played with a variety of orchestras (North German Philharmonic Orchestra, Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the Croatian Chamber Orchestra a.o.) as well as chamber music formations at a wide range of international festivals. Over the last few years Marie has mainly been performing with both her solo project and duo formation (Christian Bakanic, accordion) at venues such as the Amsterdam Cello Biennale, the ‘Jazzfestival Saalfelden’, ‘Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern’, ‘Schleßwig-Holstein Musikfestival’ and at ‘Konzerthaus’, ‘Musikverein’ and ‘Porgy and Bess’ in her hometown Vienna.

Besides her musical activities Marie Spaemann is a holistic breath coach & creative companion working with female musicians and performers.
